MUNICH JEWELRY WEEK 2026

Opening Event: 05.03, Thu 14:00-18:00
Event Duration:
 05-07.03.2026, Thu-Sat 11:00-18:00

For Munich Jewellery Week 2026, Lalabeyou gallery presents AFTERLIVES, an exhibition featuring 21 artists. This project explores ‘life after death’ not just as a spiritual idea, but as a practical solution in the jewellery studio.

With precious metals becoming increasingly expensive and the need for sustainability growing, AFTERLIVES focuses on giving materials a second chance. The artists create new pieces using scraps, leftovers, and recycled elements. This collection proves that ‘dead’ materials can be reborn into beautiful, valuable contemporary jewellery.

Based in the centre of Madrid since 2012, Lalabeyou is a gallery dedicated entirely to contemporary jewellery. It serves as a meeting point for artists and the public, focusing on jewellery as a form of artistic expression rather than just decoration.

Over the years, the gallery has organised numerous exhibitions, featuring work by both emerging talents and established international makers. Lalabeyou is known for its active role in the jewellery community, regularly hosting solo shows and group collections that explore new materials and creative ideas. It acts as a bridge between the Spanish jewellery scene and the rest of Europe.

For Munich Jewellery Week 2026, Lalabeyou brings a careful selection of pieces that represent the gallery’s spirit: modern, creative, and skillfully made. The gallery continues its mission to show the world that jewellery is a powerful medium for art and storytelling.
